I combined trips. I parked at the grocery store near the dry cleaners, walked down to the cleaners, then back to the grocery store. It's not my favorite store, but I figured I'd give it a try. :) Some things turned out to be more expensive there than at my regular store so I don't think I'll repeat that particular experiment, but hey, it worked today.
Our routine (pre-MMM) was to go out for dinner with friends on Wednesday nights, but instead I invited them to come to our house tonight. I hossed out my CrockPot and put together one of my favorite recipes from a few years ago using a Costco roasted chicken, a bag of Pepperidge Farm stuffing, a can of cream of chicken soup, and a cup of chicken broth. Total cost, including 1 lb. of baby carrots for a side: ~$12 to feed six people. My family of three habitually spent twice that at Panera, so to feed us and our buddies for that seems like a good thing.
