I was too tired to write this up last night, but I'm taking it today. Yesterday was our library's eleventh annual Used-Books-In-Such-Good-Condition-You-Can-Give-Them-As-Gifts Sale.* I was on my feet most of the day. The sale ended at 5:00. It took us until 6:00 to break down (Yay, teamwork!). As we drove home across town, it was so tempting to stop somewhere for dinner. Instead, I fixed a pasta and veg dish from scratch and heated up some leftover turkey. We finished our home-cooked meal at 7:00. Practically a miracle!
*This sale was my frugal idea and I am very proud of it. I'm not afraid to let my frugal flag fly. In eleven years, this little event has generated over $20k over and above our regular sales. A lot of people are able to buy very inexpensive gifts (for others or for themselves, lol) and my beloved, cozy library is the beneficiary.
