Markets are very stretched and due a correction, maybe a significant one.
I've partially hedged my portfolio by shorting S&P and FTSE100 from this level. Laugh all you want.
Based on what?
CAPE? P/E ratio?
If you happen to be overweight in stocks, certainly it isn't a bad time to rebalance.
I'm 60% stocks, 30% beanie babies, and 10% Topps Ken Griffey Jr. rookie cards, thanks to suggestions from this thread.
I highly recommend owning a few pogs and at least 1 decent slammer in case the dollar loses world reserve currency status.
better learn how to use that slammer well too... it's a yuuuge skill go have. invest in yourself in dire times. and maybe a Glock in case things go sour...
Sufficient skill with the slammer obviates the need for the glock.
Oh, I was going the post-apocalyptic route though...
POG dealer: "hey bro, why'd you take all my POGs bro?" ... *brandishes knife*
Me: "chill bro, this is Murica. It's just a game"
POG dealer: "nah bro... i think we definitely have a problem. I'm going to need my POGs back and I'm also gonna need yours and that slammer of yours. In fact, I may need your slamming skills too, for some future endeavors... so why don't you come with me?" ... *draws knife*
Me: "bro, I said 'chill' and easy on the knife there." ... *brandishes fully outfitted Glock 45 with laser sight, optical scope, modified 30 round magazine (yes, and in California... because none of that will matter in these times), custom grips, trigger job for easier double-taps, and 3D printed parts.*
POG dealer: "bro! sweet gun! Hey I'm late to another game but we should hang sometime!" *runs off like a wounded coyote*
Too far? Sorry, been playing too much Deus Ex Mankind Divided, Bioshock, World War Z, etc... Also, the excessive use of "bro" is because this all takes place in California.
