Feds cut rates at 2pm EDT. Triple bottom was in back in August. Santa Claus rally coming from here on out to the end of the year. Thorstach tried to play the inverted yield curve and failed.

I started a reply tangent pondering the nature of a Santa Claus rally, and realized I could find the answer myself. This quote from Investopedia (https://www.investopedia.com/terms/s/santaclauseffect.asp) is rather amusing (bolding mine for humor):

Well, lots of other people paying on those days, too! Might be worth looking at prices 2-4 days later.
