S&P sneaked right past 3,000 and I didn't even notice. Somebody keeps moving the top.

Well since the top is "in", is it not possible that somebody keeps moving the top further in?

The S&P 500 is up 31% in just over a month! We are on our way to the biggest top ever! It is going to be amazing! Many people are saying they are excited.

And up again! Can someone please call the top in, this bull run seems unstoppable and crazy to me :(

His ability to call the Australian top is quite impressive. He called the last top (northern hemisphere bottom) on March 20, and sure enough the market made a huge drop (northern hemisphere rebound) within a few days.

I picture thorstache looking like Crocodile Dundee.  You've heard of bear markets and bull markets; this is a croc market, mate.

NASDAQ 10,024.31   The sell in May and Go Away crowd may be missing some gains, or they may have locked them in...

Up, Down, Sideways the market is a fickle beast but its worth the ride.    Back to the topic, the 10K top is dead long live the 10024 top!

right? i mean, the NYT headline is Stocks slide as glum forecasts and new virus cases pierce Wall Street’s bubble.
i thought the market was efficient? wasn't all of this known, by everyone, for like 2 months?

No, many people are in complete denial and think the lockdowns are/were unnecessary.  Some of them are on this board.

In the market, of course, top is in.

After today's drop, the S&P 500 is all the way down to valuations not seen since May of 2020.

Off topic: I just realized today that my stash has gotten big enough that on days like today I can lose as much money in a day as I was making in a whole year eight years ago ... and not even notice.

How are you not aware of your duty to panic when that happens?  You still have the opportunity to hyperventilate then sell everything if you get on it now.

It went down, it is still dropping.......

To paraphrase Herman Wouk, Panic!, in times of danger or in doubt run in circles scream and shout....... or channel Jack Bogle and just do nothing...   I  prefer the later..and the top is still not in.

and it's still dropping

We need a nice, monstrous, five-year sale on stocks. Top, my friend, hope you were in.

might actually get my wish!

Looking more and more likely...
