Just like the OP Thorstach quote, I'm trying to decide: 1) what this even means, 2) is he serious about it, 3) or is he mocking technical analysis?

I almost missed a Thorstach post! I got distracted by all the pictures in the thread.

So now, in addition to VIX and XIV, we need to consider breadth and the “AI bubble”? Is there even a chart for the AI bubble? How can it matter if it doesn’t have a chart with trend lines and candles and stuff?

I’m beginning to think Thorstach is just messing with people.

One night I dreamed a dream.
As I was sat at the Bloomberg terminal with my lord thorstach
Across the dark screen flashed trades from my portfolio.
For each trade, I noticed two sets of butt prints in the chair,
One belonging to me and one to thorstach.

After the last trade of my portfolio flashed before me,
I thought back at the butt prints in the chair.
I noticed that at many times along the path of my portfolio,
especially at the very lowest and saddest times,
there was only one set of butt prints.

This really troubled me, so I asked thorstach about it.
"Thorstach, you said once I decided to follow you,
You'd sit with me all the way.
But I noticed that during the saddest and most troublesome times of the market,
there was only one set of butt prints.
I don't understand why, when I needed You the most, You would leave me."

He whispered, "My precious child, I love you and will never leave you
Never, ever, during your trials and testings.
When you saw only one set of butt prints,
When the top was in, I carried you on my lap."

In the 61 days since the start of 2024, my brokerage accounts have gone up an average of $541 per day. Too lazy to estimate the 401k.

Now that I've bragged about it, the jinx is in, and the prophecy will be proven correct.

I think that’s a pretty sturdy limb. But the typical counterweight of extreme fear doesn’t seem to be in play as much currently.

This morning GREED is driving the market.  Seems like Extreme GREED has been replaced,  is it  due to the realization that the AI bubble Top is in and the  Fear-Greed meter is about to swing towards EXTREME FEAR?   Or is the market going to set a few more traps with more fleetingly false all time highs.

Extreme Greed Top is in!
