CNG cost like 25 cents at the production point and it is easy to convert autos.  That's the trend and where big corps who run the government are heading.

It's a shame most CNG vehicles are built on conventional platforms. I'd love to see a plug-in bi-fuel Prius.

10+ miles EV, 100+ miles on natural gas, and the normal ~500 miles on gasoline.

We have similar stuff in power generation industry. Standby generators that run on diesel and natural gas, combine that with a UPS and you have pretty much that.

The catch is that you have to have the liquid fuel. You can run on just the liquid, or both the liquid and gas, but not just the gas. It stretches it pretty damn far under ideal conditions, but the cost is MUCH more expensive than gas-only engine (think prohibitively expensive for your average consumer.) Wonder if that's the case with these prototypes?

I liked the EV's we built in 1970's, our company had plug-in parking at every plant in USA... guess we have come a long ways...any day now EV will be affordable.

Gasoline !!!  ick...  who needs that stuff!

50mpg since 1976, no Dinosaurs or OPEC required.

Brew your own, with an Appleseed Bio-diesel processor, or just use WVO, or any number of fuel alternatives.

CNG... ugh.. reminds me of all the LP / Gas dual fuel farm and fleet trucks we had in the 60's and 70's.

I'm using CNG in Thailand...  What a joke... yes, good for emissions but, you need to enjoy stopping to 'Top-Off!!!' every few hours  (like 3x / day...)

I will stick with my Diesel Passats... 25 gal tank @ 52 mpg = 1200+ miles or 2000, km (between fuel stops).  16 hrs is about right for your next toilet break!

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
