Barbaz, I don't doubt for a second that you can be a badass mustachian parent. This was meant as a light-hearted joke. If I posted the same picture commenting ''as a mother using washable cloth diapers, I can relate to this'', I'm sure it would have come across as mustachian.

There are plenty of memes that address CFBC's finances (rolling in cash or spending money foolishly), it's a huge stereotype. Knowing there are many CFCB mustachians, I thought we might as well laugh about it. :)

I understood it as a joke :-) It's just that it's totally ridiculous how much you're supposed to spend as a parent and how much of that is actually unnecessary, but if you never had children you might not know that and thus wrongly believe that having children means financial doom. (It also depends a lot on your social system)

But we all know what really kills your FI: pets

(Seriously, those are old-school buckling-spring keyboards... some of the best ever made. You could probably wash them out, put on a new enter key, plug them in and have them work. IBM Model Ms still go for $50+ on eBay.)
