We originally started with the dreaded Dave Ramsey until we completed BS2 and then promptly came to our senses. Became acutely aware of personal finance in 2010. Have been maxing 2x401k, 2xIRA and optimizing (not trimming) expenses since 2014.
We’ve been focusing far more on increasing income than we have with increasing savings.
I like the hours metric. We would come in at a cool 70+40 worked hours per week. Planning to ramp that down eventually.
