1st world problem: space-saving towel bar
« on: December 18, 2021, 03:30:00 PM »
I have room for only one towel bar in my bathroom, but need to dry two towels. We have a double towel bar but the front and back rods are only spaced 1 1/2 inches apart, so the towels touch and don't get air circulation to dry. Can anyone recommend a double bar that has proper space for each towel?

No room to mount two on the back of the door (one high, one low)?

I have an over the door towel rack with 3 bars, all far enough apart that the towels only overlap by 1/2.  Look for something like that.  Or buy a heated one.

What about one high and one low with 1/2 a towel length between them?

Or switch to thin waffle linen towels. We have a tiny bathroom and one towel bar behind a door. Often we'll have one over the shower curtain rod and one over the towel bar. But with the thin towels it doesn't take that long for them to dry even when we fold them so they are both drying on the one towel bar.

This was my thought as well.  We use really thin towels so a double towel bar is no problem.  It also reduces laundry/drying burden.

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
