Worked on Death Guard Demon Prince. Had to cut it out of the sprues. It will need a layer of necrotic flesh and then brass colors. Still need to decide what to do about the flesh bits.

To Use Goobertown's term, I like to call it the pile of opportunity :D

I have a lot of terrain to paint still. Might join here to get some of that coloured up finally.

I don't play Warhammer, but DnD and I have a lot of Dwarvenforge terrain.

Ever since watching the 5th Element, my plan has been to start with Mila Jovovich before the rest of the back log of models . . . but she won't return my calls.  Should I just move to the next model on the backlog???

I bought a Gundam model to support the new hobby store that moved to town. They are trying to get back on their feet after some set backs.

Relieved to see that I did not cross thread my airbrush nozzle on Monday night.

I love my pile of opportunity. The game shop I go to is 45+ minutes away, so I like having options at home.

Currently working on some Pegasus Hobbies buildings - I've had them a few years and it's about time I can use them.

~40% of my collection isn't even built... (Another 40% needs painting)

Hey, Pegasus Hobbies has the Chemical Plant terrain I bought years ago. I don't remember where I got it from though.

Got my airbrush to actually spray well. Finished the layer of venom when paint on the the Plagueburster Warband. Now I have to cut the models off the sprue to do the necrotic flesh layer and the details.

I didn't make much progress over the weekend. The box for the Plagueburster Warband seems to be missing two 32mm bases for some of the models. I either have to buy some or make some.

Otherwise I will try using the wooden jig I made for a different project as a stand for spraying models.

5th Element is a great film. One of those Bruce Willis films I expected to bore me and it did not. Like one the early Die Hard films, went to it because there was nothing else in the part of Chicago I was trapped in and found Bruce and Jeremy Irons great.

Layer of necrotic flesh applied to demon prince. The airbrush started spattering after that. I didn't get the paint mixed well enough.

My stack of shame is smaller than your's, however, I have a dwarf baker and a largish cave troll (both Reaper) that I haven't pulled from the package and a high elf that has the cloke painted but nothing else. These have been on my desk for 9 months and no progress.

I also have ~5000 photos to go through; a few sketches in progress that need some final touches and then watercolour, and a stack of 25+/- books to read.

:)

Touched up the layer of Necrotic Flesh on the Demon Prince. I missed a few spots. Also worked on the myphitic blight hauler and one of the Deathshroud Terminators.

I don't think questoris knights are meant to be batch built... between all of the weapons options and magnetizing things, I've been working on 3 for over a week.

Doesn't help I also want to build the 8 armigers, too. (4 are done. I decided not to magnetize these)

About 3800pts total for imperial knights. Still need to choose a paint scheme.

I'm going to paint my first two this weekend. 3D printed models of the Argonath from LOTR. Had them made at a local library and they took 18 hours each!

My plan is to sand a little, then use black automotive primer, then mixtures of gray, "rubber," and army green enamel paints to build up a stone look. Trying to figure out if there is a good way to add weight to them so they might work as bookends for my intended recipient.

what model for this did you use? I'm super curious - I love 3d printing things and this seems like it'd be a great print :)

I bought these fanmade files, I couldn't find anything free that looked this good! I used the mini book stand files, but there are scalable piecemeal files in the download that I think I could use to build 7-foot-tall ones one day... https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/game/argonath-fan-art

Bought a tank model at a convention just so I didn't waste my time going there.

Also 3D printing a Maleficent style staff for a friend and going to print a Gandalf staff for their brother.

Got a bit side tracked this past week.

I have not come up with a good system for batch painting. At least larger things... Unless you want to get bins from Uline.

3 failed attempts at the Gandalf staff. One failure I'm fairly certain was because of the cat. (The piece was laying on the floor. )

Just Gandalf's staff eh?

The Argonath turned out pretty great! But I really underestimated how much enamel paints would STINK. P-U!

Finally got the staff bits to print properly. I had to rotate it 90 degrees so it sits straight up and slow down the speed. I was reluctant to do this since the pieces are quite tall.

Gandalf staff has been printed. Now I need to sand both staff's.

Attempted to use the airbrush for detail work on the models. Over spray splashed paint everywhere. I think I mixed the paint too thin.

Attempted to print a "Japanese Shrine" that I found on Thingiverse. Had to download mesh tools to break it down into multiple parts for printing. All 3 failed their initial prints.

I bought some different material than what my friend supplied me with so maybe I have to change the settings.

I bought an Adeptus Mechanicus Combat Patrol and two codexes. The store was having a sale.
Also bought a 2000 A.D. tabletop game at the other store.

I have decided to make the attempt to do a game of 40K a month. Maybe more since I joined two D&D groups and am unsure how those schedules will work out.

Also made the "Master To Do" list. Basically a bullet journal but more focused on long term goals.

I've spent the last few days basing models that had been painted months/years ago. Feels nice seeing an actual finished model.

I'd love to see pics of these.  I used to have a large collection of Ral Partha, etc., D&D figures and I painted them pretty badly.  I still have a soft spot for a good miniature, though.

I was gifted a massive pile of old sprues and random things. Some really cool projects will be created from the pile.

My CSM army grows, the Orks will have fun looting parts, and several old metal models will need an arm replacement, but lots of excitement overall.

Pile grows, but the opportunity runs parallel.
