PAR-TAY TIME

What took you so long?
Welcome!

I post in spurts.

I've realized that at times, this place isn't really good for my overall mental health.. but then there are times of transition where a lot of details financially pop up and so I find myself back here.

Delete? No one would do that but a crazy person ;-).

I think you’ve deleted more posts than anyone but rebs has made.
Seeing you at sub 1,000 posts just makes me chuckle...

Don't forget the mega journals the people have deleted. Even my delete-a-thon can't compete.

Unpopular opinion :  journals shouldn’t count towards the post number.  It’s too easy to game your post count and win that free car you get once you post enough

I don't think you want any free car that has been fondled by @dragoncar . Just sayin' ;-).

I'm sure dragons only fondle the best cars. The question is, what shape us the car in afterwards.

You see that dock out there? Built it myself, hand crafted each piece, and it's the best dock in town! But do they call me "Dragoncar the dock builder"? No! And you see that bridge over there? I built that, took me two months, through rain, sleet and scoarching weather, but do they call me "Dragoncar the bridge builder"? No! And you see that pier over there, I built that, best pier in the county! But do they call me "Dragoncar the pier builder"? No!

But you take an unflattering photo with ONE car...

Apparently a global lockdown and stay-at-home orders have spurred quite a few posters to hit new thresholds of posting 'greatness'.

Congrats (i guess?) to three new 'Senior Mustachians':
@snacky
@MDM
@okits

They join several other posters who have been around far too long and post far too much for their own health, and includes arebelspy, GuitarStv, G-dog, Le Poisson, Dicey, RetiredAt63 & nereo.

I can't even believe how many new Walruses there are (Walrii)?? So many I can't even remember who's reached that milestone/level-of-shame in the last several months.
The full list includes:

Ohhhh gotta work on becoming #40 of the walrii (new band name?).

Has anyone heard from jooni, btw? I hope she's doing well... it's been a while.

The order changes. Someone deletes their journal, and you’re not a walrus anymore. So you might be #40, and #46... In fact you can’t be #40 because of this.

This is why one needs to invest heavily in “high quality” threads that don’t get deleted willy-nilly by their creators.  Not naming names or anything....

I'm gonna guess 5,000 posts? Seemed like a much more ridiculous threshold when the forum was new.

It was bumped up a couple years ago when a large mass of people started reaching top status.  Can’t find the thread right now.  I’m actually thinking we might want to bump up the levels again next year (or create a new category) just to address the increasing post-count from ‘regular’ contributors.  But I know that’s unpopular among the ‘mods (or at least it seemed to be).

Yeah...  is Walrus 10,000 posts?  I'm sure I've passed that threshold several times but then someone deletes their journal and my excessive forummming isn't as obvious only looking at post count.

I appreciate the congratulations, regardless.  🥳👍

I think walrus is 5000, Senior status is 10,000.

The top level should be “Arebelspy”....

I kinda hate that status levels can be reduced when posts get deleted. @lhamo and @spartana are just two loyal participants who [deleted] their journals for V. Good Reasons. Hmmm, I think @Sailor Sam might be on this list, too. And jooni was most prolific, but alas, she seems to have left the building.

FWIW, while I can't promise to ever wrap up all the loose ends contained therein, I do solemnly promise not to delete my journal. Anyone who wishes to post there can rest assured that at least their posts won't be deleted. No quality guarantees for my content though ;-)

How come I'm ninth on the list? Several people must have deleted a lot of posts. Or stopped being here. The stats are somewhat skewed by the hidden boards. Interesting that half are higher than me and half lower than me in the % journals and off topic posts.

That's what Viewing Members 1 to 999 shows.

Probably took less than 20 minutes to compile.  Copy/paste, XLOOKUP, etc.  And yes, COVID restrictions on normal activities was an impetus.

A subforum that not everyone can see. For instance, the journals can’t be seen unless you’re logged in. They have set up hidden subforums for various camp Mustashe events. And the moderators have at least one hidden subforum. As three of the people in the list are probably moderators on at least one of the hidden boards, having run some of the camps, I suspect that their top 10 subforums may include posts on those boards, distorting the table.

I noticed you posted exactly as the odometer hit 5k. Nice job! It's great to see another old-timer reaching this milestone.

Yeah, I thought that was the only way. Like if you requested access with post 4999 or 5001 you get a horse's head in your bed instead or something...
