Thanks @Malcat
Googling for reviews turns up multiple glowing articles ... all on 'side hustle' blogs ... all remarkably alike is tone, style, and structure ... none with the alleged author's personal experience ... smells an awful lot like "sponsored posts". I ran a (mostly unsuccessful) blog long enough to know there is a shady component where various vendors are basically in the market of 'buying credibility'.
I can't find anything in the THIS SUX type page so might buy a discounted one month subscription just to test the waters.
Part time stuff seems particularly hard to find so I'm going to have to explore mentally if I'm willing to work full time for short projects.
I actually followed your blog for years. Mostly to read the monthly financial transparency posts. I really liked how open and transparent you were about every little detail of your trades and finances, even if I don't completely understand all the options trading strategies.
I remember you subscribed to a lifetime of some specialty investment information source for like a few k or something IIRC. I don't recall the exact amount, but it seemed expensive to me. I think it was something about bond trading. Honestly, at the time I was convinced eventually the blog would go away and you would want more money someday and wind up working as a financial analyst at a trading firm somewhere, since you seemed more interested in finance than anything.
I never understood the desire to work for a non-profit. I know several people IRL who wanted to give back to the world, went to work at a non-profit and got burnt out all while making half of what they could have elsewhere. It almost seemed like you did not feel good about working in the oil and gas industry and wanted to do non-profit to feel like your contribution to the world was more positive. Oil and gas are used by billions of people to accomplish and produce tons of useful things. It's not like you were working for a tobacco company or something.
I also did not really understand the stent as a recruiter...It seemed like a pure commission job but it also seemed like you were trying to place third party candidates and never got paid much (or at all?). I did not understand why you didn't simply go work for a big name recruiting company and get paid hourly with bonuses when you place candidates. I have worked with recruiters with tons of different backgrounds. A recruiting company would hire you for sure, just with the accounting background.
You could probably get into programming also. It is stupid easy money, imo. You already have experience with ERP systems...
Sorry - I have no advice for flexjobs. Just wanted to say some people did read your blog.
