Yeah, rental cars are cheap in vegas, but you definitely don't want on eon the strip. When I go to vegas I don't go anywhere near the strip, it's a nightmare. I just do not get the appeal...
Even Fremont street gets really old really quickly. If you like airbrushed t-shirts, fat tourists walking around sipping overpriced adult beverages, and old ladies gambling away their pensions then you will love it. If you are like a child and are enamored by bright shiny things then you will have a blast.
+1 for pinball museum, tons of games even though the atmosphere leaves something to be desired
