I thought there may be some hilarious answers in this forum to the following question:
Q: What one tangible thing did you buy last year which greatly improved your overall day-to-day wellbeing?
My answer: Potato masher = $2
(Please, please no fancy existential answers about travel, life experiences, love, peace of mind, your kids, family, exercise. Looking for an actual tangible item here. Bicycles do count!)
When a social group is talking about all the great, expensive things they've bought recently I find it ridiculous (yet necessary) to blurt out, "I got a potato masher. It's one of those hand-held manual ones and works really well. It's absolutely brilliant!" ...And that's when people stare at me like I have two heads! :)
