Haha, how do you know it wasn't just someone who likes mustaches in general?

I got a set of stemless wine glasses with mustaches etched in to them for my wedding and I assure you that that gift-giver has never heard about this website (although the possibility did pass through my brain for a fleeting moment).

I hope what you saw really is related to this website, though.  Have you tried looking at the Mustachian Map?  Maybe they are on there already.
