Woman says broker 'churns' her account, rakes in over $250,000

Saw this today. A different kind of churning .. that "churns" my stomach.

All the more reason to keep it simple, educate yourself about personal finance, and, if using a financial planner, go with a fee- rather than commission-based advisor.

Yes, horrible.

In my first go at investing in Canada's system, I got majorly screwed too. The fees and lack of transparency here have been outrageous for a long time. They've started to improve regulations around those, but there's still lots of legal-theft-by-pros. Sickening indeed.
