I don't know, and it stresses me out!  With a lot of luck and even more hard work, I might get some of my fiction published, which would be a great little income stream.  Other than that, I can't think of anything I can do that I could make money with.  I have a ton of grant experience (post-award), but have had zero luck getting an grant writing gigs, which would be great side job.  There are a few other leads I'm pursing as well, but thus far, all my talents don't seem to be worth much to anyone else.

maybe publish it yourself?

i published a book on amazon last year and it has made me almost $2000. not a huge amount, but better than a finger in the eye!

and, more importantly, several thousand people have read me, have liked my work, and are built-in potential readers of my next book. there's literally no downside, but you do have to find a way to make a splash online if you want it to work. i made a pretty big splash with my first book -- the intro was published on a fairly big website, liked by thousands and shared by hundreds -- and my sales were still a small proportion of that. it's fun, but obviously not comparable to any kind of job. at least not until i get more titles out there, and get published on more websites.
