I answered "White" because according to genetic analysis I am 98% European and 2% Asian. My Asian ancestry is apparently from the Middle East and the Caucasus, which just goes to show you that referring to people of European ancestry as "Caucasian" is stupid. That's not even the same continent.
Anyway, I have spent the most of my teaching career working in urban economically-challenged majority Black communities in the United States and what I have experienced in my interactions with the communities is rampant materialism brought on by desperation for social status, fear of banks from negative experiences due to low information on personal finance, lack of cost-benefit analysis of primary and secondary education based on inability to recognize the financial advantages (i.e. school is for getting training for future work not just free daycare), and rampant corruption where a very small number of elite families control all the available government jobs (the only jobs that pay decent wages) and dish them out to relatives and prominent supporters. Pretty much what we see in many White communities, but dialed up to 11.
Any Black Mustachians from these communities want to weigh in on this?
