-- Scored an Instant Pot.  DH got it on an excellent Black Friday sale.  Trying out some really great new recipes in it.  (bonus:  Clean up is a breeze!)

-- and a travel backpack that perfectly matches carry-on limits.  I NEVER pay extra for luggage, I travel very lightly.  It'll be easier now since I have backpack straps to free up my hands/ arms & take pressure off my neck.  Will try it out in February when visiting family.

I got a digital kitchen / food scale.
I bought a used tablet to use with it.
I've got an idea for a unique angle frugal/value food blog and I'm using them to gather data and test recipes for it.  I'm already using the data to change how I plan, shop and cook.

The GF got me a micro fibre / fleece sheet set for my bed.  She has a set and I knew it was very comfy, but now I realize I can lower the temps a few degrees more at night and don't notice the difference - the sheets make me feel so much warmer.  Of course I won't do that when she is visiting.

I love the flannel sheets my parents got me last Xmas. Besides being able to turn the heat down, they don't feel cold when you get into bed!
I was looking at getting an electric blanket which was $$$ but the sheets were way cheaper and so much better. :)

Flannel sheets + thick duvet + someone hot to curl up with. Best combo. ;)

Things I'd have spent money on anyway, but didn't have to.

- pair of tennis shoes
- needed clothes
- six pack of a porter I like
- throat coat tea

A new camping backpack.  My old one wasn't really good for actually hiking and camping.  At 18 years old and an internal frame, I remember when buying it having the store employee still recommend and external frame if I actually wanted to camp. (Hint I didn't).  New pack is smaller, lighter and fits a heck of a lot better.

I got an Anova Sous Vide device.  Another tool to make food instead of going out!  I've used it to make some pretty mediocre cuts of meat into tender flavorful cuts.  Highly recommend!

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
