When ecology auto wrecking came to take away my first car, a 1986 Dodge Omni, it had over 330,000 miles on it. I didn't put most of those miles on - my parents did and they passed the car down to me in college. I drove it for another 4 years before giving it up. Nowadays I might have tried to work more to fix it - the engine seemed pretty good, actually, but the doors didn't open or close properly and it was a little freaky driving it with the drivers door stuck a few inches open.
I'm still with my Toyota Prius, the only car I've ever purchased. It's 13 years old and at just over 195k. Not sure when it'll hit 200k because I hardly drive anymore, now that I live in a place with decent public transportation and no place to park if you do drive anywhere. So we mostly use it on the weekends, and are hoping it lasts a nice long time. It's been a great car!
