What are your immediate plans? We're moving out to Bend, OR next month as we love all the outdoor activities available there and the weather. So when I am not biking, boarding or rock climbing, I plan on volunteering and really getting involved in the community.

That's terrific - I'm very happy for you. It takes a lot of courage to finally quit, even when you know perfectly well you can. I should know -- I haven't worked up enough myself yet, but I'm getting close.Have fun exploring the world outside of the office!
Congratulations! I had a shitty day at work yesterday and wanted to quit. Can't quite yet. 416 days.

I thought this was going to be a thread about dealing with infirm elders.
When I retire, I'm gonna find some old people who need help with their house and some transportation and cut out the middle man volunteer organization. Just me and granny painting walls, planting flowers and driving to the grocery store!
