Trying to Sell Exercise Equipment-Need Advice
« on: October 07, 2013, 09:04:36 PM »
Hi everyone,
I am trying to sell some used exercise and physical therapy equipment. Most is lightly used, a few items are heavily used. I have sold a few items on Craigs List but wish to try a new medium. I would like to avoid having to ship stuff by mail or UPS (in other words using ebay). I live next to Boston. How do people recommend I try to sell the items? Can anyone recommend specialty online forums for athletes, bodybuilders, physical therapists or similar types of people that have free online classifieds that reach a Boston audience? Are there exercise equipment shops near Boston that buy used equipment?
Thanks,
Neil

Sorry to say it, but in general the used exercise equipment market is extremely soft. Are you not seeing success only in that things aren't selling for as much as you had hoped for, or is it falling short of your expectations in some other way?

Hi grantmeaname,
I am selling few items though I am getting reasonable prices. The stuff is in good shape, is commonly found in many gyms, and would be widely applicable for people with home exercise or physical therapy programs.
Best,
Neil

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
