Apparently "National Coffee Day" is a thing. Free coffee for those who indulge:

______________________________________________________________________________________________
Dunkin' Donuts: Free medium cup of hot or ice coffee.

Krispy Kreme: Free 12 oz cup of joe and a free glazed doughnut.

Panera Bread: For the entire month of September, rewards members have been able to get a free hot or ice coffee.

Starbucks: Whomp whomp. The chain is not playing along and offering any free coffee. Sorry.

Wawa: The Northeast regional convenience store with a cult following is offering free self-serve hot coffee up to 24 oz.

Whole Foods: Through Wednesday, the grocery chain is selling 12-oz cups for just $.25.

Meh. As far as manufactured holidays go, I say this is better than Valentines Day.

Thanks for letting me know it is National Coffee Day - not sure it applies in Canada but what the hell!

I just love coffee but unfortunately my stomach doesn't.  :(     I only drink a cup or less of it a day but it is something I really look forward to in the morning.

My office is indeed giving free coffee today. Too bad it's so disgusting I can't believe people would normally pay a quarter for it - I don't drink it even when it's free.
