Hi, I just learned about all of you for the first time this week. I am not sure where to post this so please let me know if it belongs some where else.
My DH and I own a house with an in-law attached that we are living in with our married daughter renting the house part from us. We have been doing this for the last year or so because it helped all of us. We are DH 59 and me 54 with some debt besides the house. My thoughts are to get a real-estate agent to come threw and let us know what should be fixed/up dated so we can put it on the market next year. While we are doing this I am paying down some debt/slashing our expenses. I would love to move into a mobile home with a small piece of land that would be around 100,000 instead of our home witch is 239,00 left on it. The expenses would decrease and the cost for upkeep would as well. I am trying to explain the benefits of less expenses equals more freedom. Help.
