Short term investment Question

I have decent amount of money in cash at the moment and hope to buy a house in the next few years. So the question is what do I do with the money in the mean time? Is there a low risk investment that you would recommend?

How big is your stash? Is it big enough where you can take on some risk and invest the money earmarked for the house? If so, how much risk? How about a lower risk portfolio more heavily weighted with bonds?

My stash is currently at 50,000. However soon should increase significantly when I sell my tiny house. Which should sell for 30,000-50,000.
