Robo investor is doing its thing
« on: October 26, 2018, 01:31:25 AM »
There's been a lot of discussion about robo investors on who loves and hates them.

I just wanted to say that my robo has been selling and buying similar funds over the last 10 days as crap has been hitting the fan. It's probably sold around 25-30% of my portfolio and bought equivalent funds. I have no idea if this makes it valuable or not. I also know I wouldn't have the savvy to do it myself. But since the tax harvesting is a selling point for the robo investor I thought I'd mention it for those out there on the fence or who love or hate it.

Great. So the market is going to shit because robots are doing all the trading.

This is not going to end well.

It’s going to end fine. Since there is no net asset flow, it should have negligible impact on the market. I am not a robovestor user, but this is not an example of the problems with them.
