Robin Hood Gold....looks optimal/worth it??
« on: April 07, 2024, 04:59:17 PM »
Many of us on these forums are optimizers.  Optimally low expense ratios on our index funds, optimally low cost on cell phone plans, streaming services, and being frugal in general(some better than others, I certainly can't claim the crown by any stretch).

Robin Hood Gold appears to offer a few things optimal enough to consider.  It appears there is a fee for Robin Hood gold that I assume is $5/month or $60/year.  Sorry, they don't display it prominently and I haven't found it I writing yet. Confirmed.

Here are the perks that look great:

3% on everything credit card.
3% match on IRA contributions
5% rate on FDIC cash.
3% match on all transferred IRA funds(looks like a promotion until 4/30)

Those  things combined look pretty nice.  Anyone using them yet?  Seems like the 3% card isn't quite out yet.  There seem to be some limitations/stipulations.

Edit: corrections made

There's been a lot of discussion on here about the IRA transfer match.

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
