OMG! Daniel From Manhattan Nest Is Back!
« on: January 26, 2018, 09:10:34 PM »
Someone on this forum pointed me in the direction of this fabulously creative and talented guy a couple of years ago. He's a mustachian, but he doesn't know it. Everything he does looks super expensive, but he gleefully shares how he DIYs it on a dime. Super badass! Anyway, he hasn't updated his blog for a long while. Today, there is an amazing post, so I thought I'd mention it here. I may have heard of him on @pbkmaine, so I'll mention her here, just in case. Credit where credit is due, and all that.

I must admit with the MMM DIY promo that when he didn't build a wooden sailboat from scratch and instead got on a deluxe fully serviced uber fancy cruise to get to Antarctica...I was disappointed.

I mean MMM would have built a wooden row boat, but still... ;)

GAH. I used to love his blog. Great writer, loved his style. And now I'm bawling at his Linus post. Fuck.

RIP, Linus. We should all be so lucky to have someone to love us until the end, as Daniel did Linus.

Why is he whining about 2014,15, 16 and 17?
When I got to the my life is difficult because Trump is president,
I stopped reading and wrote him the following post.
I don't know if he will post it as the site is moderated.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I stopped reading when I got to the part about your life sucks because Donald Trump is president.

As is much of the US, and I expect things to get even better.
Unemployment is down to 4.1%, minority unemployment is at a new low.
The economy is growing at a higher rate than it has for years. Interest rates
are still favorable for buying a house, (nothing like the 16-3/4% when I bought my first home)
Hundreds of companies are giving large bonuses to lower level employees,
overseas earnings are being repatriated with a tax on them. Business optimism
is at a high as is consumer optimism. Companies are building new
plants and bringing manufacturing back to the US.
On the Social side, trump has offered amnesty and a way to citizenship for
1.8 million illegals and wants to build a wall to prevent millions more illegals from
coming here taking more jobs away from our poor. Abortion and gay marriage are
still legal with no changes on the horizon. Trump has hired more women in senior
roles than Bush or Obama.
The liberal media has lied by omission when so much of the population is unaware
and still whining about the state of the country.
You poor little snowflake.
Just so you know, my life is great under president Trump.
