New IT job
« on: February 10, 2016, 01:28:19 PM »
I am currently looking for IT work in IT project management or IT Management in operations. Looking for a telecommute position.

What companies would you recommend?

What companies offer the best retirement benefits?

Companies I know of that offer lots of telecommute jobs:

United Healthcare
Xerox
Dell
Teletech

There are probably more, plus all the smaller local ones. Good luck, those full time, salaried telecommute jobs have lots of competition.

You might check Rackspace and other large hosting companies.

Verizon does a lot of remote as well, specially in the managed services space.

Also I realized that I'm an idiot and didn't read that you were looking at PM work.

You should really check in to World Wide Technology (WWT). Private $6B company, Cisco reseller. They do all Cisco gear with pro services and supply chain management, meaning they're running a buttload of projects all the time. PM heaven, they always needs PMs. They are very WFH friendly, I worked for them as a Sr deployment engineer and only went to the office once a month even though it was 5 miles from my house. If you're located 50 miles from a local office you can be 100% remote.

I 1000% recommend this company, they live and breathe their core values and IMO one of the rare companies that cares about it's employees in both a philosophical and actual/financial way.
