Who here pays the cheapest liability auto insurance?
« on: June 03, 2015, 05:04:37 PM »
Just read over at the living stingey blog (super great bloghttp://livingstingy.blogspot.com/2015/06/when-people-make-horrifically-bad.html ) that he pays $15 for liability coverage of 300k.      Anyone close to that cheap?

I'm pretty sure my liability runs about $45 a month in rural Missouri.   (Progressive)  I have excellent driving record and no claims.   I also rate it at low annual mileage.

If you have relatively cheap liability insurance for your car please share the monthly amount and company name.

With progressive - 2 cars ('06 Sentra, '10 Prius), 2 drivers.  250/500/100 runs $58 / month.

Will be shopping it again for our next renewal - seem to oscillate between Geico and Progressive when we switch, but maybe another company will get in the mix this time around.

Pay $18.23 for a 2005 Chevy Colorado, $36.61 for a 2000 Honda Civic.  Total monthly $54.84 for both cars.

I pay $15.60 per month for full coverage on my 2004 Saab 9-5, which includes liability of $500k.  One of the benefits of living in Ohio, which has about the cheapest insurance rates in the country.

I also have a 1989 Porsche 944S2 (totally unmustachian I know), and that is even cheaper at $13.35 for full coverage.

I'm with Grange insurance.

I'm around $84/month for liability-only with two old cars, two drivers in our early-mid 20s, one claim two years ago.  Chicago suburbs.  State Farm.

With Esurance, I am paying $29.50/mo on a 2004 Volvo s60 & $39/mo on a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee (a paid-for, but not mustachian pleasure). My coverage is 250/500/100 with none of the other junk.

If I moved out of St. Louis City & into a lower crime suburb, Esurance tells me that my premiums would drop by about ~31%. I can only imagine how much better things would look if my wife didn't have a speeding ticket within the past 12 months.

We have full coverage, but our car insurance is super cheap so I feel like I have to share. We have Statefarm and we pay $50 a month for our 2015 Subaru.

I get a discount on my car insurance rates if I pay annually. I paid $520 for full comprehensive insurance on my 2002 Holden Barina. I'm 30 years old, live in inner-ish Melbourne, and have had one not at fault claim in the last five years.

My last car five years ago set me back $1200 for its first year of insurance.

Next year I'll look at third party and see if I can get that down to $300.

The terms used here are different, terms like 'liability insurance' and 'deductible' aren't used here.

For body liability only? $11 for 300k at Geico.

$36/month for everything (comp, collision, PIP, uninsured). The only things not included are roadside and rental assistance.

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
