We were having breakfast this morning when my partner said... he understands why slowing down and reducing our consumption is so beneficial for us!!!!
For context - when we met he was a spendy magician. If he saw dollars in his bank account, he found a way to make it disappear quickly. Fast forward a few years and he works less hours for less pay overall, but we have saved heaps. Working less has saved us money because we are not making bad decisions or mistakes with money because we are tired. He has really changed his mindset about money and isn't lusting after an SUV any longer.
It's been a lot of slow and incremental change over time, but it's feeling like we are on the same page with our lifestyle and finances ☺️

Good for you! My DH is far spendier than I but he’s made lots of small changes over the years that have made big increases to savings and the ability to handle anything that has been thrown at us.
Being in the same page and moving toward common goals is the most important part of making significant progress.
