My shame is vehicles.  My truck is 30k, owe 25, 1 percent interest, I know it will delay fi but at 24mpg and we plan on having it for 20 years at least, yes trucks last that long when maintained.  My wife's is travel, that seems to cost us about 5k per year.  Savings is still pretty good, this year we started in 20k wedding and house down payment debt.  Now we are in the positive 7k savings.

My biggest sin is the home theatre set up. I did get it cheap, second hand speakers, second hand fixed frame screen, and both the amp and the projector were on sale. But it still cost me right around $3.000. If I had bought all of it new, at full price, it would probably set me back at least $8.000 (especially the speakers were dirt cheap considering their retail price)". I really do love it though. It sounds amazing, and that crystal clear full-HD 108" screen is awesome.

I sometimes try to tell myself that because I am frugal, I saved 5.000, but the reality is I spent 3.000.

Mine is the "Personal" category - clothes, toiletries, anything spent on me personally.  This includes my fun money and misc/gifts.  I keep telling myself that this category is inflated due to the associated costs of entering the "real world" and replacing disposables with reusable products.  As I reap the benefits of having to replace items less I hope these costs will go down.  Until then I try and scrutinize every purchase.

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
