The attached was created by reddit user dergeraet93.  It's titled "The beach that you've visited the most"   I use to work somewhere like that.

Also this truism about programmers.  Or anyone doing low level tech work.  Or computer security.

There's a lot of truth to this. I'm totally done with morning standup, scrums and bug trackers and dealing with the numerous quirks of git. I retired three years ago to get out of this rat race.

That said, I have to say that still enjoy programming - I just won't do it for work. I have been working on a Python based framework to control my model trains for the past few months and it has been a delight. I have no deadlines so I can take as long as I want to figure out the right way to implement some tricky piece of code. I spend a couple of hours every day chipping away at it and hope to publish my code some time next year.

I actually built a tool that lets you enter your birthdate and it'll generate the life in weeks diagram after reading the waitbutwhy article a few years ago.
I love that you did this. One quibble: if I have to scroll back month by month to my DOB, it'll take so long, I'll probably be dead. Is there a way to just type in your DOB?

Tap the arrow by the year and it’ll point down, allowing you to scroll by the year.

A bit like work...

The Perry Bible Fellowship is sometimes a bit NSFW, but highly recommended if you like it quirky: http://pbfcomics.com

I just read all of these!

Not in my device. Can't type in the year, and the arrow thake me to a calendar that moves one month at a time. I'm old and it's a metric fuckton of months.
