My partner and I are taking a big step in our Mustachian journey next weekend by moving much closer to our offices. I'll be cutting my commute from 45-60 minutes each way to 10-15 minutes each way, if I continue driving. But it's less than 4 miles, so I should be able to start biking to work! We'll also have a backyard, so I'll be able to do some gardening, hang out my clothes on a line to dry, and do backyard projects for fun. This is a big change, as we've been in apartments without yards for many years. I am very excited about this change -- it's going to feel great to ride my bike, garden, and spend more time outside!

Sounds like a great plan! Keep us posted on the changes you make and how much cash you free up each month.

How cool! Time to start considering losing a car?

Nice! :)
4 miles is really easily bikable, climate permitting.

We have two paid-off cars so we'll probably hold on to them... although it would be nice to be a one-car family. And we live in SoCal, so weather permits bike riding pretty much 100 percent of the time!
