Maybe if he would pick up the bike (or the paddle boat) once in awhile he could indulge in some carbs.

The interviewer seemed genuinely interested in the ideas MMM presented at first, but then got into defensive mode as he attempted to explain away his "small" 2200 sq ft home and the need for not one - but a two - engine boat. He really got excited when he upgraded his future boat to TWO engines as if one engine was certainly not enough.
Oh well, have fun working your whole life for these luxuries, while the rest of us jump on our kayaks and spend the whole day out on the water while you're at work. :-)
One person's necessity is another's luxury. Even what we, in our frugal ways, see as a necessity would be a luxury to someone even further removed from consumerism that we each are individually. It's best not to judge, but accept your own wimpiness in the big scheme of things.
