Lawful money redemption
« on: June 24, 2020, 01:27:17 PM »
Hello everyone,

Has anyone heard about lawful money redemption? Research 12. U.S.C 411
I follow someone on Instagram who talks about lawful money redemption; which can be a way of not paying taxes ever again.

I do not know if this is legit or what's this is all about.

Can someone break it down or explain what this is all about?

TIA

Sibley

So, while you're following some dude on Instagram, I did a quick google search.

https://www.investopedia.com/terms/l/lawfulmoney.asp

Your dude is not living in the same reality. You're welcome to not pay your taxes. Please do not be surprised when the IRS comes after you.

Oh, and here's some bank people on a forum for banks talking about it:

Here is all you need to know: "sovereign citizens" are delusional conspiracy theorists and you should not listen to a word they say. Like, seriously, they are right up there with flat-Earthers or the fake-moon-landing people.

There is such a thing as "lawful money", sure. But no you don't need to know about it, and no there's no magic invocation to recite that will prevent you from having to pay income tax.

This guy wrote the book FAQ on the subject as a public service:  https://evans-legal.com/dan/tpfaq.html

I encourage you to skim it if you're thinking of joining the tax protest cult.

Specifically, the nonsense about "lawful money": https://evans-legal.com/dan/tpfaq.html#FRNs

I used to loosely follow some of these clowns out of curiosity.  Set up a church at your home as a non profit to avoid taxes and all.  The leaders of such movements were quite successful at this up to a point.  The point was when they were led from the courtroom directly to federal prison.

The big thing today for sovereign citizens is saying that they don't need a drivers license or to register their cars because they are not engaged in commerce.  And they wrongly pull parts of laws out and use pieces of this and pieces of that to back up their claims.  Steve Lehto on youtube has a number of examples.  Steve is an actual lawyer and gives good explanations why the citations by these clowns are wrong.  He has an open offer to give anyone $100 who can give him the Supreme Court's ruling on the matter in favor of not needing a license.
