This isn't meant to be an ad for SDCCU but I just got a used car refinance from 4.99% to 1.49% which saved the interest cost over the loan by about $1300 over the life of the loan down to only like $320. Just reminding people that if you currently do have a car loan (gasp!) that you can save money by refinancing at today's low rates. I have seen several credit unions have very low rates.
Before you beat me up about car loans, my car is paid off and we just recently got married. And my wife is on board with the frugal saving money thing but trying to get her to trade in her newer Honda Fit will not be easy.
Anyhow just a reminder that rates are cheap. One easy way to reduce costs is refinance wherever it makes sense.
