Just a point-out that this topic is worthy of a separate thread on the regular boards (I think the finance board here gets less traffic).  Without index funds, the FIRE movement might not exist or be in an earlier state of infancy.

There was something about the market rising the last couple days that served like hanging the flag half mass for some one else. As said, thanks for making things easier for so many of us!

The man was amazing.  I saw an interview with him just a few months ago and his mind seamed just as sharp as it has always been.
My wife and I had a drink that day to celebrate his life.  He is leaving behind a legacy that will not be forgotten for many generations.
