Anyone here work in IT in energy? I'm pondering a career change and am curious of the experiences you may have had. I'm not interested in looking at a mega cap like XOM.

More interested in mid cap, say $500MM to something < $10B.

Any perspective anyone can share on types of positions, equity, profit sharing possibilities, location, work hours, etc?

Oil companies tend to shed noobs quickly when the cycle goes from boom to bust.
