Not the ad I'm seeing, and you can turn it off.  It's also a Google Ad banner, so probably tailored to your search preferences.

It's a Google Ad. The ads that people are shown on any GAds page are a combination of that user's browsing habits/what Google infers from your habits, the content of the specific page, and in some cases, which businesses bid more for ad space on that particular site. If it helps to know, there wasn't any human intervention involved (which is to say MMM isn't actively running Ukrainian Bride ads).

It just took me aback when I saw that.  This is my work computer and I pretty much only look at Yahoo news and finance and MMM on this computer.

Don't you know that searching for Ukranian brides at work can get you in trouble? Unless of course you work for a mail order bride company. lol

If work doesn't stop you from adding a browser extension, you can install AdBlock and then you won't see ads all.  I never see ads on MMM.

It reveals more about your search history (or the profile that Google built up for you) than it says something about this forum or the MMM website. :p. I see an ad for a company that I Googled yesterday.

Perhaps phrases like "visa" and "human trafficking" on the page led to the Google algorithm thinking this was the right ad to include?

I was going to suggest that if you're signed into the Google Chrome browser, it will have the same search information as your home computer (if you're also signed in there), but I see you're using Internet Explorer.

Maybe IE just likes effing with people's minds?

well she's using internet explorer so unfortunate not..
I vaguely remember what these ads on webpages looked like, last time I saw them in 2005 before using an adblocker. The  ads seem unbearable these days, I don't understand why people put up with it :S
