Found this opportunity at the Hershey School in Pennsylvania.
Sounds like a really cool opportunity to me for when our kids are grown: https://www.mhskids.org/houseparents/#:~:text=Milton%20Hershey%20School%20employs%20over%20200%20houseparent%20couples,shape%20the%20lives%20of%20children%20from%20lower-income%20families.

I never heard of the Hershey School until I read "Invisible Child" by Andrea Elliott earlier this year. An interesting up close and personal look at generational homelessness. The Hershey School was only a small part of her journey.
The original Mr. Hershey was a cool dude doing good work long after his death. IIRC the school was way more religious than I'd be comfortable with.

That position has been posted for at least a year, likely way longer! I've seen it on Indeed for forever.
Interesting that the salary hasn't been raised given inflation and difficulty filling positions related to schools.

I used to live near the Hershey School and knew some house parents. I think they are always hiring (hence the listing being old) and there is a fair amount of turnover. I think it’s a pretty intense job. But as others have said, the school does a lot of good for some kids.

I finished high school via a scholarship program at an international boarding school in Wales. My houseparents are still dear friends. It is a great job for the right people, but VERY stressful -- I can't believe some of the stuff we put them through (and some of the other stuff we got away with that they never knew about)....
It bothers me a bit that they restrict these roles to married (presumably hetero) couples. Kind of flies in the face of all their lip service to diversity. But in keeping with their "Judeo-Christian ethic" I guess.
