Title: How I know I have been inducted into the cult of MMM
Post by: Gin1984 on October 26, 2014, 08:18:05 PM
I was looking at my husband's last paycheck to do some last minute tax tweaks and realized that his next check is this week.  I was excited because the 403b would increase, not for the cash here and now.  LOL

The leader is good, the leader is great, we surrender our will, as of this date...(repeat x10)

Nah, I was mustachian before it was cool.  It is cool now right?  I keep telling myself that.

Ha anyone watch The Simpsons?  This reminds me of the episode where the religious cult ("Movementarians") work very hard to convince Homer to follow the Leader.  They convince him by singing the Batman jingle and replace "Batman" with "Leader".

Jooooiiin us!

I've always said, The Simpsons can be related to everything.

So, not surprisingly, this snippet from The Simpsons covers mustachianism pretty well.

When people describe someone's lifestyle inflation "well, you know, they got this really good job so they can afford 3 holidays a year and (insert number of cars here)" I actually say out loud "you know I think I'd rather save more and work less later" A year ago I wouldn't have done that because it sounded too alien to the predominant norms. My faith makes me courageous. :-)
