How did you know?
« on: September 28, 2017, 03:21:33 PM »
So I'm not quite ready for retirement as I make a great income from my business, but my mind is set and focused on early retirement in the next couple of years. Recently I've been helping a guy build a house, for free, just offering my time on my off days to learn and be a part of the process. When I round the corner and the view opens up of the job site with the framing going up and see something come from nothing I just get excited. And I think it excites me more that I don't have to be paid to help. I feel like when I do reach retirement I have a path, and I feel like this is how I know it's time to retire from owning my own business and venture into other areas that I enjoy. Though I'm not entirely financially free yet I'm very close, so I don't need to work for money, but by helping with the house it shows me what I really enjoy and let's me know it's closer to time for me than I thought. So aside from your financial numbers saying you "could" retire, how did you know it was time ?
