Probably too much.
Me too, I've got $50k in a savings account. I'd prefer it to be invested, but I've got to take into account my wife's comfort level with having a very nice cash cushion. It seems excessive given the extremely low risk of either of us ever losing our jobs, but it has worked out pretty well since we don't add to cash savings anymore and completely invest all excess $$ each month after expenses.
