Help on Vanguard Bond fund

Quick question to help someone out on a presentation -if you have Vanguard Total bond market fund outside of an IRA what is the likely return on that bond that will be subject to taxation at ordinary income levels

Multiply by your marginal tax rate

Multiply by how much you have invested

That is roughly what you will pay in taxes? Sounds correct.. someone double check
