Long-time reader, and a 21M/student hailing from Boston over here.
I just wanted to say that it is so nice to find a group of people who reject the pandemic of over-consumerism and who understand what truly matters in life- social relationships, engaging in fulfilling activities, and financial independence.
Ever since I stumbled upon MMM about 9 months ago, I've been captivated by the allure of financial freedom. Since then, I have taken multiple steps towards instilling strong habits to set myself up for financial independence, including teaching myself to cook healthy, affordable, and low-cost meals, riding my bike everywhere, starting a brokerage account with Vanguard, and (just today), ditching my expensive carrier and switched to a free plan with FreedomPop.
It is a pleasure to be a part of this community, and I look forward to reading all of your posts!
