Has my world wide pessimistic view made me paranoid?

I always feel that our current economy is not sustainable, whether thats true or not i dunno. But the only thing i think about is homesteading. trying to save up enough money to live off the land in a small off grid homestead, filtering my own water using slow filtration sand filters. Compost toilet. Adjusting to living without electricity. Sustainable farming practices (permaculture)

I even googled how to knit, so i can knit me some sweaters "just in case" lol


please help me

I do feel that our current civilization will collapse or at the very least change drastically. Whether that is going to happen in 20 years or 2000, I don't know. I just try to live my life consistent with how I want the world to be, whether it walking or biking, using the public library, etc. You shouldn't live your life based on fear, but how you WANT your life to be.

If the economy ever got so bad that you had to resort to what you are describing, people would be raiding everything and you would lose it anyway.

It's almost the same argument for gold, if the economy ever got so bad you had to bargain with gold, shotgun shells would be your best currency.
