New Years Eve in Vancouver BC
« on: December 07, 2014, 04:11:06 PM »
I am going to be in Vancouver for the New Year. I have a few days to kick around and check out the town. I know there are a few mustachians in BC; does anyone have any recommendations for things to do and see while we are there? Any good New Years Eve events that aren't to be missed? Any advice would be much appreciated.

There are a lot of New Years parties at all the clubs and hotels downtown, but to my understanding you need to buy tickets for those ahead of time. There's a countdown at midnight downtown as well. My boyfriend and I like to just go for a walk at midnight around downtown and see what kind of crazy people we run into.

I've seen the parties advertised online…lots require tickets in advance. I'm not opposed to that if they're not ridiculously expensive. I'd really like to find some low key live music, is there a good place to find live music in Vancouver online?

I was surprised to see that the fireworks got cancelled due to lack of funding.
