Going for FI with the highest taxes in the world 2
« on: June 30, 2022, 07:58:21 AM »
Hi all,

I live in DK, and I found the below post/discussion fascinating:

https://forum.mrmoneymustache.com/welcome-to-the-forum/going-for-fi-with-the-highest-taxes-in-the-world-denmark/

(unfortunately it is a bit old!)

I was wondering... did the OP or anyone in Denmark achieve it? I am very curious if anyone in Scandinavia was able to achieve it with all the high taxes?

I was also curious if there is any MMM-like blog/site with information, but tailored to Scandinavia (there is a lot of information from MMM that, unfortunately, doesn’t reply apply here…)

Thanks!!

I know there is https://www.reddit.com/r/firesweden/, maybe there's a similar one for Denmark.

Here’s blog by someone who retired quite early in Sweden: https://tradevenue.se/miljonarinnan30. Some of the stuff is very much about specific Swedish tax rules, but some is also more generally about the lifestyle and philosophy of FIRE in a Nordic context.
